Jobs & Skills

Apprentice opportunities

The Silvertown Tunnel is a terrific opportunity for people in the area to access jobs and develop their skills. Our Riverlinx team is always happy to participate with STEM skills and supports activities to help people find employment. We are willing to share our insights with other people about what the industry - and this project - has to offer.

Over the lifetime of the project, more than 100 apprentices will be recruited who will benefit from the career push that studying and experience offers, by being part of a professional team and putting into practice the knowledge they gain.

We currently have 18 apprentices working at Riverlinx in quantity surveying, engineering, business administration and human resources roles. We’ll be offering more apprenticeships with Riverlinx, and in close collaboration with our supply chain partners.

Riverlinx is committed to advertising all apprenticeships and employment opportunities with the local boroughs first, giving residents in Newham, Tower Hamlets and Greenwich the first chance to apply for vacancies. We have a fantastic team at Riverlinx and look forward to welcoming you on board! See below for details of our vacancies.

Local job opportunities

The Silvertown Tunnel will connect people with opportunities in local neighbourhoods, making it easier for people to commute to jobs near their homes while gaining a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on a complex engineering project.

Live local, work local

Riverlinx roles are advertised with the boroughs for ten days before being published more widely. You can find all opportunities on this page or on other careers websites.

If you're a resident of Newham, Greenwich or Tower Hamlets, you can access the jobs Riverlinx has available before anyone else. Simply get in touch with your borough’s employment service, please see the links below:
