New Lower Lea Crossing & Tidal Basin Roundabout layout 2024

New Lower Lea Crossing & Tidal Basin Roundabout layout:

Mid-January was the starting point of the next phase of the redevelopment of Tidal Basin Roundabout and the reopening of the Lower Lea Crossing in two separate carriageways after being in Contraflow for the past six months. Pedestrians are now fully segregated from the works area and a semi-permanent controlled pedestrian route is in place to safely cross the new carriageway which is still reduced to a single lane in both directions.

The below map shows the pedestrian / cycleway diversion route and also the future layout of the new larger Tidal Basin Roundabout that is planned for late April / Early May on current programme.
